Training for Vehicle Pull W/O One

I need to pull a 4.5 ton vehicle for my country’s qualifiers.

You can see how the vehicle and pulling is like towards the end of this vid.

Problem is I don’t even have a 1.2 ton car to pull!

I have tried sled dragging on a rubber matted surface as this is the closest movement which mimics a vehicle pull.The problem is the max that can be loaded onto the sled is a lightweight 120kg.

I have felt my quads and hams really on fire on the sled dragging.So I guess lower body strength is really important for vehicle pulling.

So what can I do?

Work on my squats?

Set the parking brake on your less than 1.2 ton car, then pull. :slight_smile:
