training for lacrosse

Hi guys, I was wondering what kind of training would be likely to make me a better lacrosse player. The physical skills I’m trying to develop are change of direction, explosive speed, and well, general strength.


for speed and agility, various sorts of sprints do the trick. not just the “3 sets of 30.” try various ladder drills, and lots of quick left and right stuff. and always include bleacher/stair running in there. that worked the best for me. try charlespoliquin.net as well as the FAQ section here for other agility/strength drills for non-bodybuilding athletes.

Ever try plyometrics? I think they may be what you are looking for.
