Training for Dip/Pull-up Competition?

Hello CT,

I have a friend who is part of a club which organizes max reps competitions for the following exercises each year:

  • Bench press / Lying bench row
  • Front Squat / Concept 2 Row (300m)
  • Dips (BW + 10kg) / Pullup (BW) - for his category

How would you organize the training to manage to maximize performance for the day of the competition (for dips and pull-ups in particular)?
