Training Around a Lower Back Injury

Got a slight back strain…

Planning to do weighted dips/pullups for upper body and sled for lower body,is that a good idea?

Better first understand what caused the injury, give it ice and rest until the acute pain has started to heal then do exercises you suggested that don’t hurt.

If what you’re doing causes more pain and stiffness the next morning, you need to stop doing it and let it recover more be easier. There’s a thread here somewhere with a wealth of more information.

I hurt my back this summer and training around it consequently added 70 pounds to my weighted pull-up max.

But learn why you got hurt and fix the underlying problem or it will just happen again.
