Traditional Wave Loading vs Wave Ladder Loading

I was reading one of your training articles on this site and was reading about what you called wave ladder loading and you said that you preferred wave ladders to traditional waves.

In more recent articles and threads I see you recommending regular waves.

Has your opinion changed? Or maybe one is better than other depending on circumstances and one’s goals? Or do you just see them as different flavors for training the same qualities?
