Torn Pec Workout Routine

Hey everyone I recently had a Pectoralis Major Tendon Rupture and i’m scheduled for surgery next week. The doc says I will be unable to put any stress on the upper right portion of my body for 3 months. Then I will be in physical therapy for another 3 months before I’m able to lift moderately heavy again. I have a few questions and would like advice from anyone who has dealt with this issue before.

  1. What’s a good routine to follow that doesn’t put any stress on the upper portion of the body? The only thing I can think of is leg press, leg curls and leg extension.

  2. How long will it take till I’m able to perform basic bodyweight exercises such as push ups, dips and pull ups?

  3. How long did it take to recover all of the strength from before the injury?

This is the first major injury in my life and I’m trying to stay as motivated as possible. Was having the best gains of my life up to this point.
