Torn Labrum in Right Shoulder, Left Shoulder Bothering Me

Hey everyone, I was recently diagnosed with a tear in my right labrum. I have been trying to keep upper body work to a minimum, mainly doing close grip chin-ups and some push-ups at the most.

I have full range of motion in both shoulders. My left shoulder does tend to catch in when rotated anywhere in the posterior plane. And I have pain when my torn shoulder goes back there,

However, sometimes I overdo it (like this last time when I did wide-grip pull-ups like an idiot) but I actually feel it more in my left shoulder after a hard workout.

This last time when I stupidly tried to do pull-ups the same symptoms occurred. My LEFT (non-torn) trap and posterior deltoid become insanely tight. Almost feels like a giant knot. It is actually more bothersome than the torn shoulder.

Was wondering if anyone else found this to occur on the non-torn side when doing anything upper body with this injury?

Also, was wondering if anyone knew of better push-ups position, that puts less stress on rotator cuff?

Thanks
