Top 3 Veggies

I am a Costco-holic…

As a college student it saves me money and time to buy bulk…

I usually go with Greens+ and 2-3 staple veggies…

What are your top 3 veggies?
(list why if you’ve got the time)

Mine:

  1. Spinach (1 frozen pack a day)
  2. Broccoli (varies)
  3. Sweet Potato (1 p/ day)
  1. Sirloin steak
  2. Pork chops
  3. Steak

Really, I’d say

Spinach for sure. It seems easy on the system. Sweet potatoes for sure if you are trying to gain mass. Then I’d go with tomatoes, or bell peppers. Onions are very good for you. Peppers, tomatoes and onions with some olive oil and black pepper make a nice salad. Asparagus.

I don’t dislike broccoli, brussels sprouts or cauliflower but the gas…oh the gas. I really don’t like smelling broccoli the next day. I also think they push the protein through your digestive tract before you can utilize it. And the gas. Feeling bloated can kill a workout.

Also, if you can use calories, the big bags of walnuts are cheap there. And the 5 pound containers of cottage cheese. The single serving packages of chili are a good deal too.

  1. Broccoli
  2. Bell Peppers (all colours)
  3. Peas

Why? Because I like the way they taste… if cooked properly.

  1. Tomatoes-good for the prostate and loaded with phyto-nutrients.
  2. Spinach-Did wonders for Popeye and keeps the plumbing well primed.
  3. Broccoli-Good source of nutrients specific to cruciferous vegetables.
  1. tomato (in soup form)
  2. spinach
  3. carrots
