Too Much Whey Post-Workout?

I live in Costa Rica where BCAA’s cost 500% of what they do in the states and leucine is simply not available. We can’t order supplements from outside the country or they will be confiscated by customs.

Anyway, I want to get a minimum of 5 grams of leucine PWO. What if I just do two scoops of whey instead of one? That will give me about 5.2 grams. I have heard something about too much protein at one time oxidizing, but I am not clear on how that works.

double serving of whey would be fine.

sounds like the age old “you can’t absorb more than 20g of protein per meal”

Cy Willson advocated taking up to 1/2 your daily protein intake right after training.
