Need some help with water intake. I’ve started a training program recently and I’m taking several supplements. I’m drinking a lot of water to make sure sure my system stays clean, but I’m afraid of drinking to much. Anyone know if you can drink to much. I weigh 204lb and I am drinking about 1.5 to 2 gallons a day. I’m really afraid of getting a prostate infection- got one 3 years ago by not drinking enough water.
Not sure about this, but have read it takes 8 gallons a day to flush your system of any beneficial nutrients.
It takes a lot more than 2 gallons to drink too much. Assuming that you are eating enough food and getting enough sodium and potassium, you could easily even go past 2 gallons. It also depends on your daily exercise expenditure, heat exposure, etc.
