So to speak. A new Nissan 350Z, silvertsone/black leather, touring, loaded. I’ve observed most females climax at the very site of this fine automobile. Hence, my recent scarcity on the boards.
Anyway, the question: it does have a solid 7 speaker bose system. Great highs and mids too. However, I need a little subbage.
My proposal: I have an older punch amp and I’m thinking of rigging this to a Bazooka tube, 10 in, in the hatchback. A box is out of the question: no room.
So, are these un-amped Bazooka’s worth a crap? Thanks guys.
That’s all right Tyler. I’m aware of my current bastard-ness. Heck, I envy myself.
I will say this though: if anyone on this board is planning on purchasing a new sprts car, the Z is it. Around 30,000; 0-60 5.4 sec; 156mph t.s.; leather interior that resembles a Ferrari-stiching and all; and a killa’ 7 speaker bose system. The most affordable sports car ever.
OK looking at your profile you are a stressed student. How the frick did you afford a car like this?? I have a 91 accord E-XR sitting at home that I can;t even afford to drive.(GAs, insurance etc)
Do you already have the Bazooka tube? I’m not much for them. I would get a 2002 or 2003 RF sub. The old style Punch amps owned in their generation. What model is it?
clint: That link won’t open, yet purchased stuff from Courtesy before. But I’m serious dude, unless it’s a custom job, a tube is most likely all that will fit back there.
groove: Yes, I am a stressed student. 22 years old. Even unemployed. Here’s how I managed to get this car: 1)traded in my one year old Tundra (too big/impractical); 2) paid the rest via an old c.d. my papaw left me after he died. I basically just tapped the interest it had accumulated in the period since his death; 3) keep in mind, the z cost the same as my Tundra and the insurance is the SAME; 4) Lastly, I would be lying if I said God has not blessed our family financially.
Before you say, “Okay, I get it, moneybags,” that’s not the case. My dad has made some money, invested it wisely, and lived a conservative lifestyle. Both my parents were dirt-poor when they met. Literally. Think “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” which is about 15 minutes up the road (Butcher Holler).
Well congratulations then Poobayah, obviously you got it through some hard work and some luck. I don;t hate you as much anymore
I have a pretty nice system in my car, hich unfortuanatley is sitting at home wasting away while I walk or take the damn bus, I have a kenwood cd-r/MP3 deck with an MTX amp and 2 10" subs, which I think are also MTX but they might not I can’t remember. The subs are in a custom box as well.
Man I miss my car

Your system sounds pretty sweet. I had two JL 10’s in a box in my first truck. For my tastes, 2 10’s do the job. Anymore, and for me it’s just gets a bit ridiculous.
Besides, I’d rather invest into the quality of the subs and good amp rather than get like 2 15’s in a 1980 purple escort.
