Y’know, your work has you hoiking heavy things so much you may simply be getting to much biceps work, causing an imbalance. I bet if you did straight arm db rows that tendonitis might go away.

You clean and press more than me and I don’t recall you ever making it a priority lift. I has a jealous.

Tony- I checked out those straight arm row-
watched a video and think that + triceps work might do the trick

going to lay off pullups for a bit too.

as for clean + press- 205 is about as much as I can power clean
without it becoming painful on the catch
the press - I m probably getting much more leg drive off of the catch
probably more of a push press

Im going in early january to an olympic lifting place with the guy from my gym…

I would love to get up to a 225 full clean and jerk

I have a balky elbow which hurt when I did (relatively) heavy barbell pressing, 1-arm DB pressing, and then chinups (this started to worry me, the other exercises I expected it).

Now, I am much, much better. Only occasional twinges.

What I did: high rep, lowest weight, cable machine with rope attachment, tricep downward extensions before every workout; using Fat GripZ on my DB presses, and also DB curls. Read some stuff about how gripping stuff the same way (i.e. same size bar for every movement) stresses the forearm muscles in the same way, over time results in overuse pains which can show up in elbow.

Really solid work. And an oly gym? Nice.

Holidays are over and I am relieved.

4 out 5 teens - one was on ‘punishment’
a 5 y.o. a 4y.o. my kid and a 16 m.o.
all of whom are now taller then me -
destroyed my Mom’s house.

My sister who is kind of ‘special’
columbia Law Grad and now PHD wanna be- has zero brain power
and nine million allergies

sent an email claiming the ‘smell of Hot tomatoes or Sauce’
made her ill- sent this the Day before new years
after everyone sent emails about what they would bring…

Including the 45lb huge baked ziti we made.
needless to say it went over great with my wife…
my sister and law- and wife- told my sister to eat on the porch.
awesome.

That sister brought her ‘new’ girlfriend but had to sign her out of her ‘treatment center’
for the day cause she got her ??? DWI
it was her older kid on ‘punishment’
amazingly the ‘new’ girl is pretty much the same personality as the ‘old wife’

this ‘cardio’ at the beginning is ok- I think its a good balance of warmup and semi taxing energy work
I just need to add a second session at the back end- either complexes some kind of tabata or burpees.

My low back was super tight- and something mid thoracic was not cool either from last weeks OH pressing
surprise !

Front squats- felt good probably could have doubled the 295
wanted dbls on 275 did a bunch of singles instead

switched to low bar trap deadlift- Git is right these are kind of like a leg press.
just did a few sets for a bit of volume- was kind of done squatting
but needed some volume

BSS- I love to hate these- think I really need to do one day of unilateral stufff
instead of two lower days a week with one or two unilateral movements if Im lucky
lets see if I’m smart enough to do it.

other stuff- just for some volume
I need to do more direct calf work- more for crap ankles than calve swoleness
