I may post some all-time favourites later, but for now here are some relatively new songs that have good beats:

Shine Blockas [maybe the best hip hop song of 09-and is an all time fave]-Big Boi ft. Gucci Mane

Fabolous ft. Drake- Throw it in the Bag Remix

Jay Electronica - Exhibit C

New Boyz ft Tyga- Crickets

Jim Jones- Black on Black

No offense to other’s taste in hip-hop but 99% of beats in the thread were extremely generic. Not to say I don’t like alotta the songs. Anyway it should be a fucking crime to talk about hip hop production without mentioning Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind.

El P has also put out some extremely dope productions in the past:

(God I hope there isn’t anybody who considers himself a hip-hop head who don’t know these producers or groups)

I like sacrifice off VBD…he samples some obscure stuff…

there is legendary production on that album… i just put in that cd after not listening to it for yrs and the beats are still great…lyrics no so much lol

david banner - cadillacs on 22’s

Damn man, you didn’t/dont like Vinnie Paz’s lyrics?

I did…I started listening to JMT when i was 15, and I actually memorized Paz’s verses off the album…I was big into all underground music actually…I don’t know much about what is going on now a days, but it was cool era…

As far as vinnie paz lyrics…I just don’t think they hold the same weight to me as they once did…I still really like Violent by Design as an album…It’s their best album without a doubt, and I don’t think any other group could make a album like it again…plus, jus allah has the most hilarious lyrics ever…

“my stomache got, young dead orphans in it/
i eat from, trashcans at abortion clinics//”

“Heaven splits in the presence of excellence/
A force to be reckoned with/
Way too fuckin strong to rely on ya prayers and hopes/
I walk out the jungle in bear-skinned coats/” - jus allah

like how does he think of this shit?

There’s a few. I could literally do this all day. Can’t find a good version on youtube, but look out for people under the stairs acid raindrops.
