Tightening the Mid-Section

Thank you very much for the advice, it’s very helpful. What should I do once I’ve learned to contract the TVA? I think I’ve learned to contract it; is it the muscle that activates below the ribs, under the obliques, if you mentally try to breathe into the bottom lobe of your lungs/expand your ribs? Should I switch to breathing by using this muscle instead of expanding all of my abdominal area?

On another note, someone linked a photo of Chuck Lidell earlier in this thread. If you look at the photo in this post, my abs are positioned exactly like that when flexed, ie ahead of the chest. If anyone has the expertise to comment, is this genetic, or possible visceral fat?
