I wasnt sure where to post this question but I have seen so many athletes with incredibly tight Psoas muscles I thought I would start here. Has anyone ever seen a study or heard of anything where an extremely tight Psoas muscle might be restricting the digestion pathway and cause poor digestion and bloating?
Sounds like something Charles Poliquin would be into…
The psoas runs behind the small intestine and large intestine, not over top of them, so I doubt tightness in the psoas would affect the GI tract much.
Dont think it can affect GI tract. A tight psoas means its over active(flexors) and have under active hip extensors.
I doubt that tight psoas can cause digestive issues, but they probably share the same root cause of spending too much time sitting in a chair and not moving.
