Thoughts on HCG Dose?

After 4 years on T Cyp + AI, my new doc (nationally known specialist) added 10 units (0.10ml) of HCG taken daily.

Thoughts on whether this low a dose would have any effect? Haven’t really noticed any changes after a year of using the HCG.

Thanks in advance.

Testes might be too damaged and shrunk to recover after 4 years.

Is the objective fertility or cosmetic?

250iu hCG SC EOD is a good LH replacement dose.

If hCG is mixed to 1000iu/ml, 0.1ml is 100iu for 700iu per week VS 875. So that is not bad. hCG does have a decent half-life and EOD injections are quite effective and more typical.

After one year, testes should be larger and firmer and scrotum hanging down normally. It might be a waste of money if you are not seeing results.

If ever wondering if hCG is real- you can see if you are positive on a home pregnancy kit. hCG can be damaged from heat and/or handling when wet.

Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.

I can be a bit abrupt in my replies and recommendations. I have a lot of ground to cover as this forum has become much more active in the last two years. I can’t follow threads that go deep over time. You need to respond to all of my points and requests as soon as possible before you fall off of my radar. The worse problems are guys who ignore issues re thyroid, body temperatures, history of iodized salt. Please do not piss people off saying that lab results are normal, we need lab number and ranges.

The value that you get out of this process and forum depends on your effort and performance. The bulk of your learning is reading/studying the suggested stickies.

Thanks, KSman. Very helpful.
