Thanks for sharing this. Makes me feel good about not forcing my 6 and 7 yr olds into playing soccer just because everyone else is doing it.
WE spend time together playing things like dodge ball, kick ball, monkey bar training, pole and rope climbing as well as trees.
Of course there are also walking lunges, jump squats, baby deads etc on family night in the gym.
Organized sports for children seemed silly to me…I wanted them to be kids and then when we see where their strengths and abilities lie as well as their desires…decide on which sports to pursue.
