I genuinely struggle to balance with kettlebells. I think I’d need a team of spotters to do it with a bar. Or maybe some training wheels

Well shit. I forgot to log all last week but it’s been going great. Training and life in general. Will log properly tonight. Diet starting to tighten up now.

Week 3 was just really a repeat of week 2 but a little heavier lol

W4 Monday

  1. Foam block press, worked to 110kg x 3 then amrap with 100kg for 8
  2. Seated db press 3x10, top set 22.5kg
  3. Seated db press 50 reps with 60% above (12.5ish)
  4. Back attack 3 sets (30 sec iso hold kb row, 20 reps kB row, 20 reps rear delt fly)
  5. Tricep pushdowns 120 total reps
    Extra credit: sled

Tuesday

  1. Sumo low block pull 180kg x 5 reps, 160x 8 reps
  2. Giant set KB RDL, kB rev lunge, chin ups, 4x12 each with 20kg kettlebells
  3. Super set face pulls 4x20 with hang leg raise 4x12
    Extra credit: battle ropes

Tomorrow will be a couple of mile intervals I think

Ran a total of 6km today
Ended up doing intervals in KMs as watch was set to metric
3* 1km intervals, 4:01, 4:20, 4:40 paces
Then just jogged out the rest of the distance at about 7 minute km pace. Just really trying to build up the total gas tank as well, rather than just doing what I always do which is burn out on one or two miles

W4 Thurs

  1. Flat db press, 3 sec pause, 3x6 top set 32.5kgs
  2. Lat pulldown 4x10 superset with band pull aparts 4x20-30
  3. Seated row 5x15-20 superset wide grip pushups 5x10 with 5 second eccentrics
  4. Ez bar curls, 50 total reps W 40% bw
    Extra credit unilateral farmers carry, sled drag combo. Non stop walking 3 mins, changing sides as grip needed

Agile 8 upgrade lower body days, just whatever I need to get moving basically

  1. Barbell bulg ss with 3 second pause 3x5 top set 70kg
  2. Giant set, cable pull through 4x15, db shrugs 4x20 and cable single arm row 4x15
  3. 1&1/2 goblet squats, 1x10 and 1x amrap with 30% bw ish. 30 KG for 12 ‘reps’
  4. Stability ball plank rollouts 4x12

Pretty good mate. I’ve started restricting carbs to fruit and veg for 5-6 days before adding in a higher carb day and it’s going well so far. I wouldn’t be in ketosis but easily under 100g carbs per day. No loss in performance or anything. Not going ballistic on processed foods on the high carb day either, but enough to stay sane haha

I’m sitting at about 77-78kgs most days so I’m down about 3kg from when the challenge started

  2. Seated db press 3x8-10 worked to 27.5kg
  3. Seated db press 50 total reps with 17.5kg
  4. Back attack, 3 rounds, 20kg DB and 3kg db
  5. 150 tricep extensions
  6. Farmers carries + sled drag combo 3 mins total time

Is this like a board press ?

If it’s what I’m thinking of sort of but not. You have a foam pad where the board would be and pull the bar down through the pad until it compresses. I think it’s meant to make you more conscious of what happens in that final third of the way down.
