What are the effects on the digestive system, ph levels, blood sugar level, hormones… of puking. When I was recently sick and couldn’t hold food down for a day, I was wondering about excessive catabolism, insulin levels being adversely affected, mineral depletion, dehydration and post-puke diet/digestion ability. Has anyone delved into this issue from a health/diet standpoint? TT?
I’m not sure about the post-puking digestion and such but puking up food will lower everything else…mineral levels, vitamin levels,and will dehydrate you as well. Of course if you have a stomach virus or something like that even if you don’t puke your digestion will still be compromised.
