The Police

Fully Agree!

His drum tracks for The Police were always great!

Again not The Police- just Sting.

Fields of Gold. This song means a lot to me because apparently when I was 4 years old my mom was driving me to soccer practice or something and it came on. She tells me that I said, “This song is beautiful.”

I’m pretty much a softy, so I always think about that when I hear this song. It’s a cool thing.

I have a boot from the Budokan show and he is just beyond amazing. I think he is actually better now than he was in the 80s.

A Fender man.

alright if KISS was such a huge band, howcome ive never ever heard one of their songs.

and for the record, Bon Jovi is your god.

I’m not sure why you brought up KISS in a thread about the The Police, but if you’ve honestly never heard a KISS song, then you’ve been living in a hole for most of your life. You probably heard one and didn’t even realize it was KISS.

Best KISS lyrics:

“I…wanna rock and roll all night…and part of every day!”

No way. The Spinal tap inspired lyrics of the 80s were way better.

“Lick it up, lick it up.”

“I wanna stick my log in your fire place.”

“Cause when I go through her!! It’s just like a…hot knife!!! Through buuuutttttttttteeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!”

Have always dug The Police since first seeing the video for Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic on Night Flight back in 81. De do do do De da da da, was always a favorite, many many good songs.

On a related note I always liked Fortress Around Your Heart by Sting.

I always preferred the cringe inducing lyrics of “Let’s Put The X In Sex.”

Cause, you know, “Love’s like a muscle and you make me want to flex.”

“This one here still has the little tagger on it. Don’t touch it! Don’t even look at it.”

Or the modern-ish Bloodhound Gang…

“So put your hands down my pants and I’ll bet you’ll feel nuts
Yes I’m Siskel, yes I’m Ebert and you’re getting two thumbs up”

I must have mentally blocked that abomination. How could I have forgot?

I’m so watching Kiss Exposed when I get done with work tonight. Paul Stanley’s breakfast is epic.

“Secret ingrediant, root beer!”
“Well…it is a natural food.”
“Yeah, made from natural roots.”

No genius, it was a mockery of screwing up song lyrics, much like you make a mockery of the English language.

Lolz @ not knowing KISS.

Gene $immon’s original “Watching You” lyrics:

“Cause everybody else is here, yes everybody else is here…PAYING US!”

not really a sting fan, but this is definitely one of my favorites.

Russians

I love The Police, I wish they would have made more albums. Sting’s solo stuff is good, but The Police blow it away.

Did anyone see them in 2007?

I saw them live in '82.
Great band.

Favorite Police song?.. Murder By Numbers. Very unpredictable drum track, but then Copeland was always amazing.

Sting’s the reason I took up the bass many years ago.
