The Next President of the United States: III

Mufasa,

Trump not winning Iowa is a huge deal. He is basing his entire campaign on him being a winner and because of that everyone will win. This is a strong blow to his candidacy. Hopefully he’ll take another one in New Hampshire.

Well, I wasn’t channeling my inner black women when I wrote that…

It is a direct reaction to 7 years of Obama…wrecking the economy…
Yeah, if only the economy were in as good shape today as it was on 20 January 2009, the GOP wouldn’t be following this anthropomorphized pork shoulder into the meat grinder. Wait.

Lol.

That’s the first I’ve heard that, are you sure it was by that much? Do you have a link? I know republicans had 180k turnout, which was very good compared to 120k in 2012.

Last night heard that a lot of late decision voters went to Rubio, I wonder how much Donald’s choice to skip the debate impacted that. Rubio certainly had a late rise to compete.

Thanks for the link. Other sites are not publishing the Dem turnout, but that certainly is telling. Obama was able to get a lot of support by getting traditionally non-voters to vote. I’ll be curious if the decreased turnout trend holds.

I don’t understand how these two sentence can be typed with a straight face.

I don’t think it was all Donald who destroyed Carson. He did it to himself when foreign policy became a major issue.

It isn’t yet clear if 2016 is going to be a foreign policy election. As for Trump, he is perhaps the least qualified candidate to become commander and diplomat in chief in the modern era. Cruz is better, but the area is hardly one of his strengths. If Republicans were voting based on foreign policy chops, Rubio would be the front runner. Unfortunately, much of the electorate is more ignorant of the field than the candidates they are voting for.

Little side bar, @smh_23, I thought this book might interest you. It’s next on my list after I finish Panetta’s biography.

*carry on

Jessica Stern and J.M. Berger’s “ISIS: The State of Terror” is also excellent.

LOL…thank you for the laugh. I have not laughed that hard since last night when Hillary Clinton squeezed past an old bald socialist.

I would like to say that I can’t wait for the republicans to get Hillary in the general election. But, chances are good that she my not be the democrat candidate. Then again she could get indicted after she wins the nomination. Knowing how the Clinton’s play she would not step aside. I can hear her now. “this is only an accusation I will be completely exonerated.”

That would be funny stuff…

Thanks for the suggestions.

Have any of you heard about this ? …

Hillary wins certain precincts with a coin toss ? Da fuck ?!
