The Most Complete Strength Athlete in History?

Anderson

I have a photo of a 500+ push press I thought he claimed 540 not 600.

Thought the 820 DL was with straps and every photo of Paul squatting more than around 700 has him high by any standard of any fed. Have seen him close to = but that was around 550. Have photos of claimed 900 and can’t remember seeing more. As for 1200lb was trhis the one with two safes filled with silver dollars…well that kind of puts in perspective a lot of his claims.

Back when Paul was lifting there were no Feds there were no rules. If you broke your knees 2" it was a squat…

As for the 1000 pull no way that would have been from the floor.

Was lucky enough to pick up a stack of Iron man and Health & Strength, in the 70’s lots of Anderson photos, lots of special exhibitions, lots of great lifts, but excepts for silver dollar squats in Vegas

(Vegas in the 60s…integrity and Vegas in the same sentence Hmmmm)I have not seen a photo of his really big number squats and those photos funnily enough have him upright at start or finish…

Yes Anderson was strong had great leverages etc. but he seems to get stronger each year.
