How long does it take a liver to fix it’s self?
I don’t know, all I know is that it only takes me around 10 minutes to fry one up the way I like it.
Umm what did you do to it? Maybe tomorrow if it was just a hard night of drinking, maybe never if you got stabbed in it…
Your question is a little ambiguous…But my take regarding liver recovery is that the liver is a truly extraordinary organ due to it’s regenerative capabilities (to a certain degree). Perfect example is when you get a blood panel while on c-17-AA substances and your liver enzymes come back elevated…Then upon discontinuation of the c-17-aa substance, your liver values are back to normal.
Plus, just look at how long it takes for alcoholics to manifest cirrhosis, and that should give you an idea of just how resistant the liver actually is.
IMO, the extreme liver toxicity issue re:oral AS is totally exaggerated and is a myth that continues to be perpetuated by our lovely media.
