Even if we ignore that balding is a masculine trait, very few women go bald (that alone makes it worse if you are one of them). It would be worse as a man to go bald if only like 1/100 men had hair loss.

There are some men with pronounced feminine traits, like sensitivity and expressiveness. Writers, poets, musicians, and especially altruistic, introspective, caring, and affectionate men are examples.

That doesn’t mean they’re effeminate.

Interestingly, I went to a camp for a fishing weekend a couple years ago that was owned/operated by a religious organization. It had 3 parts- one exclusively men only, the other exclusively women only, and a third that nobody of my social status or strata is even allowed to fish at.

What would body hair, a strong jawline, a beard, height, and muscles have to do with a man’s obsession with anything?

This is not what I refer to when I talk about hyper effeminate men.

Think the metrosexual crowd and/or homosexuals who have this demeanour.

I’m not insulting anyone, nor am I being homophobic here. Rather I am stating there are a certain subset of men who are hyper effeminate, many of which seem to harbour these attributes from a VERY young age… which makes me wonder… genetics?

Political status.

Actually, they aren’t affiliated, but are adjacent to Camp David. Legend (and explicit instructions) say that if you incidentally wander too far down the wrong creek secret service will turn you back around.

If one was obsessed with ‘getting some’ I hypothesise one would strive to reach that goal. Reaching that goal entails trying to accentuate secondary sexual characteristics.

Having a high sex drive is (sometimes) a sign of virility, this isn’t a traditionally feminine construct.

Unless we refer to men wanting to have sex… but instead of doing anything about it they sit around all day watching pornography.

Some of it seems to be attributed to androgen exposure in the womb. Males that receive a lot of androgens in the womb are generally more masculine (and more likely to be on the spectrum), and less androgens are associated with less masculinity. This isn’t just personality either (more androgen in the womb correlates with more masculine physical traits too).

I don’t think this is the only factor. Just perhaps one of them.

@BrickHead you know what affects androgen exposure in the womb? EDC’s! #cheese

When I was growing up there was always one kid in every neighborhood that was just straight up gay.

Like, not a sophisticated choice or any of the modern fluff surrounding it, just that’s how he came down the chute.

The one dude was on the wrestling team. Lean, solid, aggressive, but clearly different from the other kids.

:man_shrugging: That was before we knew anything though. Just all these kids over here playing baseball, and that one over there playing with Barbies.

I am no expert on this. I don’t necessarily think that more androgens in the womb is a recipe for straight male children (just that I think it is one of the factors in how masculine a guy is). I think attraction is more complicated than that. I would think perhaps the gay males with more androgen exposure in the womb are more likely to be “tops”.

Me neither. I mean, I was there once for about 9 mos. but I don’t remember much. Just a bright light then some jagoff slapping me.

But I am an expert at freezing my ass of at work, which I must go do now. Broken shit needs welded, bills need paid, etc. :+1:

Think of what a man has to do to routinely get casual sex (“free” sex, sex for fun). Do you know or have you met any womanizers in your life?

Yeah, a predisposition. But lack of a father can cause a profound effect on behavior, emotions, dealing with the world, and response to stress.

BTW, all that I listed and the issues presented in that article are all the faults of men, collectively speaking. All of them!

I’m just gonna pull the pin and roll this one across the floor as I run past…

Yes and yes, for the most part they tend to be quite manipulative and self absorbed.

Anecdotally, all of the effeminate men I know have had fathers and none lived within matriarchal households. I abide by the notion it is genetic, esp since say… 99% of the time these hyper effeminate men happen to be homosexual. Though interestingly enough, many… if not most homosexuals aren’t visibly effeminate.

However this is anecdotal. The literature I’ve seen seems to indicate the correlation between sexuality, gendered demeanour and a father’s presence is weak. These studies encompass relatively large sample sizes.

The phrase “gaydar” precipitates from these hyper effeminate men, and I believe such a demeanour is predominantly genetic as androgen production between homosexual/heterosexual men for the most part doesn’t differ.

I HATED the bachelor. I never watched a full episode.

It appeared Aussies loved this show. It was absolute trash…

I’ll put money down it’s scripted…

They should do a crossover with the fart chick from the other thread. Or a one cheek sneak.

Dude would be really surprised when he’s introduced to her version of DTF.
