The Community Shake Log

Just post the shake you had today, especially if it was an improvised recipe or one of your favorite concoctions.

Just now, improvised:

1 whey/casein RTD shake (had to pick some up from 7-11 as I’m out of powders)

1 scoop chia seeds

1 tbsp coconut oil (scraped into a shot glass and microwaved to turn into liquid)

1 tbsp pure cacao powder

15g l-glutamine

5-10g creatine

~ 400 calories

About to have this before bed…

2 scoops Grow! whey, 1 can coconut milk, 1 teaspoon strawberry flavoring, remained is whole milk.

Not sure about the breakdown but it had a good amount of protein and lots of calories…

My morning shake:

Whey 2 scoop
Oats 1/2 CUP
Eggs 2 egg
Banana 1 LARGE
Milk 2C

Lots of calories and protein; gotta love it!

Oh, and I tossed a “smidge” of mint extract to make it taste like mint chocolate chip.

And it did.

And it was good.

p.s. that’s more than 26 carbs, typo i know.

DO the chia seeds have any taste? How are they different than flaxseed meal?

Breakfast:

1 cup frozen strawberries
2 rounded TBSP ground flax
1 rounded TBSP natural PB
2 rounded scoops Grow! whey
1/2 cup cottage cheese
enough water to make it into a drink

I guesstimate this is around 600ish calories and 60g of protein

I have been weening off the whey…
tried a bunch of brands but they all make me sleepy.go figure.

so Usually I have a shake like this

One scoop whey
4 scoops hemp
2 tps greens plus
either cottage cheese or greek yogurt
2 to 3 cups water
I will throw in some fruit
banana or berries if Im home near a blender

something like 550 calories
60 g protein
a good amount of healthy fats

1 packet mandarin/orange crystal light pack

1 scoop chia seeds

Chilled in freezer for 30 minutes

Amazing…like a frothy, orange lazarus.

They have no flavor and are WAY better for you than flax, in my opinion.

Cool, I’ll have to check them out. In the above shake, how much water/ice do you add? sounds like a nice “ice cream” like dessert

Actually, it was a RTD vanilla whey/casein shake. So, about 14 oz of fluid total.

I wouldn’t add less than 10 or more than 12 oz of water/milk if you are using straight powder.

1/2 tsp xanthan gum

…almost tastes like pistachio pudding and looks like it. I’ve been looking for pistachio flavoring, but can’t find it.

Maybe you should try fat free/sugar free pistachio Jello pudding?

Post-workout shake

45 grams whey protein isolate
10 grams of glutamine
5 grams of bcaas
half a cup of rolled oats
half a banana

2 Scoops Chocolate Whey
2 Tbsp EVOO
1 Tbsp Flax seed oil
100g Peanut Butter
