The Black List

On HBO. There was a discussion on race a little while ago, and this reminded me of it… I think everyone should watch this show.

Cut from Chris Rock’s segment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cMXBxXc82E

Toni Morrison’s: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbMigde1lVM

Al Sharpton: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXnpQ2QOhwQ

I wouldn’t call black people talking a discussion on race. Especially if Al Sharpton is involved.

God I fucking hate Toni Morrison.

If you want to write an essay, fine. Write an essay. But please don’t disguise it as a shitty plotless, characterless piece of fiction so that guilty white English teachers everywhere can force a discussion about

“what it means to be beautiful” in classrooms everywhere so said teachers can proceed to COMPLETELY IGNORE all of her BEST STUDENTS comments about how ridiculous the entire premise is DESPITE his GENETIC FUCKING EVIDENCE as to why certain body types and looks are preferred by men. FUCK. RAGE!!!

God I fucking hate that book… A person having a fucking psychological problem does not reveal a deep racist nature in our society… GAH.

/rant

Anyway… Chris Rock is awesome <_<

Beowolf man, you got some issues. The Bluest Eye was a damn good book.

But “Beloved” sucked.

FUCK. YOU.

That book blew like a desperate crack whore. In fact, it has a few desperate crack whores as characters. With hearts of gold.
