T-Nation is awesome!
I read Mike Robertson’s article Precision Pulling
( http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=459964 ) earlier today in work, and decided to put it to use tonight while it was fresh in my mind. All I can say is WoW!

I increased my DL from a max of 225 previously to pulling 275 for two reps in one day! I know these numbers aren’t impressive for most guys but for me I couldn’t be happier. (I’ve only been at this about twelve weeks) All I can say to the other newbs is, start reading the articles and put it to work.

I can’t say how glad I am to have found this place.

Was there a specific tip in the article that helped you get the new PR?

As far as specific tips from the article, I approached the article more like a set of instructions and followed it step by step. However I would say the aspects that helped the most were not spending to much time in the bottom and lifting fast.

I practiced my set up for a while with light weight till I felt comfortable not spending to much time worrying about my grip etc. Once I felt comfortable with my setup it was dip, grip and rip. Once I could get the weight up to mid thigh it was easy to lock out.
