Anyone still messing around with this Texas Push-Up Challenge?
I made a new time PR of 56.32 seconds yesterday over here in crummy Helmand. I usually nail it in 58-59 seconds but I really pushed hard on the 10th set and went sub 58. I found that I need to stand up ram rod straight as fast as I can and then immediately fly down (dropping) into a squat thrust (push-up start position) and then crank away… on the last rep as soon as I am locked out I tuck my knees under me immediately and literally jump up to attention.
Remember these are full ROM reps… the chest lightly touches the floor and the elbows lock out at the top.
