Testosterone Levels, Are Mine Low?

Hey guys

16 years old and had a blood test the other to check for anemia, mono, (just lack of overall energy for the past couple of months) and anyways, because I am recovering anorexic, I was curious to see how low my test. was because until recently, I stopped getting erections (they come back now because I am up to 136 now versus 117)

The doc got a reading of free test levels at 5.6 I think it was. He didn’t know what this meant and was going to check and get back to me, however, I am a little on the ancy side. Are these low…for a 16 year old?

If so, what are some things, in addition to bulking up, which is going great btw, to increase my test. levels?

The ED is probably a confidence thing, or you jsut ate something funny. I’ve been through a few funks to.

Dude, you’re 16. If thats a low test level, i’d be very afraid.

Just keep eating, lifting, and gaining confidence. Being severely underweight (and last time you checked in, you were) can cause ED.

Good luck with your future eating!

for yopu food nailing a diet LONG term and lewtting stuff try and work it self out takes time to do the damage takes time to fix it

other then that what scale are you talking on the T levels etc the doc should know but also educate your self.

If that is your actual free test number, it is very low. On the other hand, if it is the free test/total test ratio (which I think is more likely) then it is high.

Better wait till your doc gives you more info.

He said it was my free test levels.

Up until my bulk for around 3 months, when my weight was 117, I stopped getting erections and even thinking about girls. However, with my weight climbing up, I do get them now and have been thinking about girls again (finally, somewhat normal again)

Anyways, anyway I can help my test levels? Certain foods…vitamins, anything? I want to fix the damage I did to my body…

Ummm, I am pretty sure that everyone else will agree as it has been said to you many many many times before that all you have to do is eat.

Why do you think that your body would even be concerned with sex when it is in starvation mode?

Basically your body thinks it’s dying of starvation and it’s not going to expend any extra energy on sexual conquest by giving you a sex drive or erections.

It can all be boiled down to Survival of the Fittest, you wont have the chance to have sex and pass on your genes because you are unhealthy. And nature does not allow the unhealthy to pass on genes that may be passed on to the future generation.

(Yes this is an extreme case but on a purely physiologically and evolutionary basis in nature this is what happens, the weak are not allowed to reproduce or die.)

Look you might as say goodbye to One-Eyed-Willie because until you start eating normally it might as well not exist.

Maybe the fact that you killed your Johnson will wake you up already. Or you can be a non-sexual neutered your whole life.

Eat, sleep, and lift heavy.

Eat butter, coconut oil, olive oil and flax oil.

Eat pumpkin seeds, walnuts , ground flax seeds and almonds.

Eat an army of red meat, chicken with the skin, and pork.

Eat a ton of sweet potatoes, yams, squash, red potatoes and brown rice.

Eat green veggies until your belly aches.

Eat yogurt and cottage cheese.

And sleep 8-10 hrs per night.

That should fix you up.

Alright thanks

My “One eyed snake” is starting to “work” again…so that’s a good sign.

Hopefully things will start to come a little bit faster. Thanks a bunch guys and yes I am starting to eat normal

You were “starting to eat normal” way the hell back when I joined T-Nation which was last November. Honestly, those problems suck, and it seems like you’re trying but it’s seemed like you’re trying since, once again, last November.

If you actually want to try at this and maybe get some results then maybe the best thing to do would be to pick a program, don’t try to make your own at first, stick with it and make a training/diet log.

If you’re honest with it and make good progress than all the better. If you don’t people will probably try to push you and tell you to hit the weights harer and eat more. We’ll help you if you try. But we can’t MAKE you try.
