Testosterone Cypionate and Enanthate

#1

My doctor is having me do a compound mixture of 100 mg of testosterone cypionate and 100 mg of enanthate .5ml every four days. I also have a vial of testosterone cypionate 200mg/ml from an earlier prescription. And I should have asked him this and i will tomorrow but I was wondering if I was to switch every four days from the compound to just the cypionate if there could be any adverse effects. I wouldn’t think so since bother are pretty much the same

Considering this total dose of T and the asinine combination of both esters, I’d run from this doctor.

You will be totaling an average of something like 300 to 400 mg per week of T (too lazy to do exact math), which is three to four times the typical clinical dosage.

Where did you find this guy, and what kind of a doc is he?

Its .5ml every 3 days

Mixing these two serves no purpose, your doc is ignorant. You need to read the stickies and understand dosing better, you doc clearly does not know what the fuck he is doing.

I think Brick misunderstood your post because the protocol is so fucked up. I think you are doing .5 ml of a combination of both every four days which is about 200mg every eight days, which is a pretty high TRT dose (I started on 110mg every seven). If you are doing .5ml of each, then you are doing 400MG every eight days, and that is a cycle, not TRT.

Read, and find a new doc.

I’m sorry I seem to be getting misunderstood.
I take .5ml every four days (I srewed up its every four days not three) of a compound mixture of the two. I asked the pharmacist and he said it is 100 mg of testosterone cypionate and 100 mg of testosterone enanthate. I receive the .5ml dosages pre-made in the syringes. I take a shot every 4 days of the 2 combined.

Which I have to assume means .25 ml of each every four days.

Just for future reference, most people talk about their dosage in mg’s, not ml’s because some vials are 100mg/1,000 ml’s and some are 200mg/1,000 ml’s etc.

You’re saying you get 0.5ml syringes filled with 50 mg test cyp + 50 mg test eth and inject 100 mg of a blend, twice per week?

Either way he is taking too much: 200 to 400 mg per week or so.

I’m have blood done every 4 months and I have not had any negative results other than my estrogen levels a little high and he has increased my dosage of blocker. When I first started with my therapy I was taking 1 ml every 7 days and the highs and lows were driving me crazy. So I went to every 4 days with a dosage of .5ml and the results have been great.

What is your last T value with an average of 200 mg per week of medication?

I had my blood test 3 days after I took my shot.
My total testosterone was 758

Great. Still talking in ml’s.

When I first started my therapy I was taking .8 ml every 7 days. My testosterone levels were still very low and the highs and lows were driving me nuts. My doctor increased my dosage to 1 ml every 7 days. The highs and lows continued so the doctor told me to take my dosage every 4 days at .5 ml and the highs and lows have gone.

Also he wants me to take the compound because he says the Enanthate stays on your system longer hence every 4 days. Now my doctor is not some hack. He is the head of Men’s Health at Miriam Hospital in providence. So I’m pretty sure he knows what he is talking about. And my blood test prove it.

I’m probably going to go back to just the cypionate because it is just to expensive. My vial is 200 mg/1 ml. So every 4 days I am taking 100 mg / .5 ml

I had my blood test 3 days after I took my shot.
My total testosterone was 758
[/quote]

So if I have it right, you tested at 758 with 100 mg of medicine in your blood so far. That is reasonable and I have tested at that level few days after 100 mg as well. However, you did not test after two weeks with 200 mg PER WEEK. I am almost certain (of course I can be wrong) that if you test with 200 mg of total T taken week after week that you will have supra physiological values for E2, hct, and T.

So that’s 200 mg of medication almost every two weeks, a hefty dose. Feel free to share T values after several weeks of taking this dose.

Just because he has some credentials doesn’t mean he knows shit. According to HealthResearchFunding.org, “Enanthate is a European steroid while Cypionate is manufactured in the U.S. Testosterone Cypionate and Enanthate both steroids have the same effects and functions whilst there are studies claiming the longevity effect of Cypionate compared to Enanthate.”

According to Steroid.com, “For as long as they have been produced there has been a never ending debate surrounding Test-Enanthate and Testosterone-Cypionate and the argument is simple; which one is best? To be honest itâ??s one of the dumbest arguments ever made but go to any gym or log on to any message board and youâ??ll find those who adamantly swear one is better than the other when the truth is for all intense purposes they are the same. An equal dose of Test-Enanthate will provide the same benefits as an equal dose of Testosterone-Cypionate; the two testosterones are almost mirror images of one another.”

Tell me again, why does your genius have you taking both?

Your blood test does not provide it considering, if I have it right, you tested at 758 after taking 100 mg, not at the end of the week which at that time will have you with a total weekly dose of 200 mg you will be tested with.

Taking another 100 mg while you are at 758 will have your T value at supra physiological levels for sure, likely into the mid-1000’s or even up to 2000’s ng/dl.

How do you figure that. If I take my shot every fours days (.5ml) and the doctor tells me to get my blood tested 3 days after my shot would the reading go up and down that much. The other doctor I went to who also was also hormone therapy specialist would tell me the same thing. Then I was taking my shots every 6 days (1 ML) and he would tell me to wait for four days after my last shot then get my blood tested.

If you are self injecting, you can control the frequency.

Some metabolize T faster than others and need to inject more often or inject more and more often.

Do whatever provides better quality of life for you. I often suggest that labs be done half way between injections. Day three is not bad.

When you get steadier T levels, anastrozole will work better.
