Test Injection Issues

I recently was prescribed T replacement. I am 40yo and inject twice a week 250mg. I have become more tired since starting the injections. Tomm. will be my 4th injection.
Has anyone experienced this and is there anything my doc hasnt told me about. I researched for weeks and thought it sounded like a smart thing to try. As of now it doesnt seem to help at all…energy or sex drive.

Hey there orange, welcome onboard.

#1) it sounds like your doctor is fairly typical and by that I mean that he is an idiot.

#2) have you read any of the sticky threads at the top of this forum?

#3) do you have any blood test results and dates that you can share with us?

#4) can you list any medications/supplements that you are taking?

I have read them…just wish I would have found forum before starting 2 weeks ago. I’m seeing a different doc next week. And for now am stopping the current dosage that was prescribed.

The only lab that stands out was a free T result of 4.2. I will get the lab copies faxed over now that I’m reading all of this.

No meds or supplements

So you are injecting 500 mg/week? This is a very high dose. Typical dosages are 100 mg/week for TRT. Your E2 may be going through the roof.

I was…not anymore. I’m waiting for a week or whatever is necessary and then doing 100mg a week 50mg every other day.
How many days will it take for everything to return to normal?

my doc came highly recommended however

Your doc was recommended for selling gear?

Levels will drop a lot in one week. E2 may linger. Read and understand what T+hCG+AI means.

gear?

What are your credentials anyway? I see that you disagree with about everything that is written…

I called around to a few docs today and none of them stated the T+HcG+Ai protocol you mentioned to me above was a necessary thing to take for someone with just a low T score.

Then by all means go see one of these doctors who know more than we all do. You’ll find out how much credentials really buys you in this field. Don’t expect much support here when things go south on you after bashing those you are asking for help.

500mg a week = beginning gear levels (I believe - not sure - I know less than nothing about gear)
100mg a week = HRT
A doc who is recommended that prescribed 500mg a week at the start = a gear doctor not an HRT doc.

I wish you the best of luck. Since you have called around to a few doctors and none of them think that HCG is necessary or that AI is necessary then you are good to go.

I am not sure why you are asking for advice on a forum and then bashing the people who are taking time out of their day to try and help. If you don’t want advise or feedback, then you should probably just go see one of those doctors I am sure they will oblige (by not providing any advise or feedback).

you guys need to take a breath…who’s bashing?

If you can’t believe a guy that has 6-8 yrs of medical training. Why should I just believe and trust a few that post to forums.

Come on now’…that’s just ridiculous. You are pretty stupid if you don’t ask, and both of you know this as well as I do.

Gear stands for Testosterone or steroid Cycle. Most bodybuilders use an average of 500mg of GEAR (test) a week.

Most doctors are uneducated about steroids of any kind. This is fact!!!

No one is telling you not to talk to your doctor, but rather educate yourself and maybe your doctor. Listen to what he has to say ask for feedback and check it against what others have found worked.

I would be willing to bet money that Ksman and others here have helped more men with TRT then all the doctors you talked to combined.
Now we wont be as ignorant as your doctor and scold you for not listening to us, but we just wish you the best of luck on your hormonal rollercoaster because your going to need it.

And could you post the number for that 500mg a week doc. I know a few BB that would like a legal script for GEAR

[sarcasm] You’re right. You shouldn’t believe anything anyone here says. Like you said - no one here is a medical professional with medical training.

People here have not collectively talked to dozens if not hundreds of doctors. People here have not personally had any experience with failed treatment options. People here have not researched any of the side effects, medical options, reviewed researched papers, medical studies, or consulted with top specialist on HRT best practices. People here are basically ignorant know-it-alls who in actually know less than a general family doctor when it comes to HRT.

You should go to your doctor and trust his treatment plan as he is the one with the training and the experience (since he is all knowing and all powerful). [/sarcasm]

I truly wish you the best for your future.

Dude…do you listen to yourself?
So your telling me when you found this forum you took what everyone said as gospel? Good lord man, excuse the hell out of me for being a little cautious as to what is being said and not said. You know these guys…I don’t. I just freakin joined.

Who gives a crap if they have medical training…did I say that’s the only people that know a thing or two. Your putting words in my mouth and frankly don’t know why…I have every damn right to ask WHO is WHO on here before I trust what anyone says. Damn sure can’t trust my doc anymore.

Thanks for the insight into this forum…I’ll find info elsewhere. You’ve been a tremendous help. I appreciate it

Just read the stickies and come back with questions.

Well I just got off the phone with a new doc…I hope to hell I explained everything right. He seemed to understand what I was saying. I’ll know in a few hours if he’s onboard…so to speak.

Well he said I was worried and misinformed…here we go again. I can see it now, I’ll visit 5-6 docs and hope one even knows about this stuff you guys have written. It’s the same thing that happened when I fractured T1-T4 they swore I had osteoporosis even after scans were good(didnt even scan my thoracic spine) doesnt low T affect spinal fractures in men? I read it did, yet they have blamed it on osteo. Had Forteo for a year…even though my T scores have been tested 3 times and all 3 were really low.

Is there a test panel name for all these tests that I see written in the stickies…didnt see one. I dont believe I’ve had some of them…DHEA? dont see it anywhere.

And by the way the 500mg a week was supposed to be written at 500mg a month…I know I know still to much. I’ve stopped taking everything for now. I’m really concerned this is going to cost a fortune in time and money just trying to find a doc that knows whats been posted here. Any specific papers I can print to have them read that explain it in their language?
