I’m all for a Texas T-Fest. although I have to say, Austin is about as un-Texan as you can find for a host city.

Seriously - you guys need anything to get this thing off the ground - let me know. I am going to be uber busy through April 15th, but after that - I would love to do anything I can to help - including wooing the gay porn contingent from Cali, aka Bastard Guy, aka, mr. happy pants, aka Dan Fouts.

If this is serious, I would offer to do both a talk and a multi-hour clinic. I think a true three to five hours of “Do This” stuff would be great. Most people don’t even squat, so we could fill five hours with some pretty simple stuff.

Couple suggestions… Fall at the earliest as most of us who went will need the time to save up, and if you make it 2 2 day seminar, that would be cool. As almost everyong said, a one day event is a short time to meet and talk to 70-100 people. It also might be easier on the speakers if they had 2 days for options.

I like the fall idea as well. If we are going to Austin - you might run into vacancy problems in the better hotels due to football season and the damn t-sippers being national champions.

You cover the squat, and I’ll cover the deadlift (and Robertson and I can fix up all those in the crowd who aren’t flexible enough to do either).

Texas sounds good to me. Then again, it’s February in New England, so any warm place sounds good!

Honestly, it doesn’t matter to me where we have it. If having it in Dallas/Ft. Worth area makes it easier for speakers and T-attendees to fly in, then it might be a better choice. Remember, the event is the draw, not necessarily the “after party”, although it’s important to have a large enough city that there are good places to go afterwards.
