Test Fest: Texas?

Whatever it takes to get your here, mister happy pants.

I’ll go ahead and pay the deposit and first year’s rent on an apartment here, as once you cross our border you will want to be a citizen of the greastest nation on the face of the Earth.

I’m all for a Texas T-Fest. although I have to say, Austin is about as un-Texan as you can find for a host city.

I say we have it in Amarillo. Damn right. I said Amarillo.

Seriously - you guys need anything to get this thing off the ground - let me know. I am going to be uber busy through April 15th, but after that - I would love to do anything I can to help - including wooing the gay porn contingent from Cali, aka Bastard Guy, aka, mr. happy pants, aka Dan Fouts.

One more thing - I’ll gladly pay harris447’s airfare and lodging just to get that yankee bastard to cross the border into paradise.

I would bring some people with me if someone gets this organized.

What again is the draw? Girls and steak?

I can see your reason for disapproval. I hear there are some great places to shop for scarfs and I am sure you may be able to find a sausage factory if you look hard enough. Girl, it is so hot that if I was you…and I’m not…I would just tie a big 'ole knot in the front of my t-shirt, rip up some jeans until they fit like Daisy Dukes and hit the club scene.

Oh shit that’s funny! Just picturing you imitate your quote made me LMFAO. Oh I gotta catch my breath.

If this is serious, I would offer to do both a talk and a multi-hour clinic. I think a true three to five hours of “Do This” stuff would be great. Most people don’t even squat, so we could fill five hours with some pretty simple stuff.

That just made the trip worth it right there.

Thanks!

I’m up for it. We’ll go to Texas de Brazil after:

Bring a vegetarian friend for giggles.

Couple suggestions… Fall at the earliest as most of us who went will need the time to save up, and if you make it 2 2 day seminar, that would be cool. As almost everyong said, a one day event is a short time to meet and talk to 70-100 people. It also might be easier on the speakers if they had 2 days for options.

I’m always up for travel…keep me posted on possible dates!

Stay strong
MR

I like the fall idea as well. If we are going to Austin - you might run into vacancy problems in the better hotels due to football season and the damn t-sippers being national champions.

I’m telling ya - Amarillo is where it’s at.

I’m down for the next one. I’m sure Stacey will come too.

I thought brazilian steaks was just a slang phrase for “stray cat”.

Don’t pull a knife if you ain’t gonna use it, pardner.

You just made mistake numbers 1-14: you offered something free to a Jew.

I’ll hold you to it, sucka.

PS How far away from Austin is Arlington? Any chance of a pilgrimage to Metroflex?

You cover the squat, and I’ll cover the deadlift (and Robertson and I can fix up all those in the crowd who aren’t flexible enough to do either).

Texas sounds good to me. Then again, it’s February in New England, so any warm place sounds good!

twatever. is that supposed to be funny? i don’t get it.

and really, i wanted scarves (how we say it in western civilization, aka california), but i was in santa monica yesterday and am now all good to go. the spring/summer selection is to die for. and daisy dukes? dude, that is, ilke, sooo 2005.

surely texas has something though …

if i wanted a steak, texas is certainly not the best …

if i wanted some hip females to hang with, again, not texas …

hey, don’t ya’ll have steers and queers? tell me about THAT.

Dan

Count me in! Anywhere is good for me. I don’t want to miss the next one.

Is there one in Austin?

Great! That would be awesome!

Honestly, it doesn’t matter to me where we have it. If having it in Dallas/Ft. Worth area makes it easier for speakers and T-attendees to fly in, then it might be a better choice. Remember, the event is the draw, not necessarily the “after party”, although it’s important to have a large enough city that there are good places to go afterwards.

Nope, they are only on the DFW area.
