About three months ago I started back at the gym after taking a few years off. After a month I was experiencing a sort of uncomfortable tenseness in my lats and whatever I tried to do to elevate the issue would not work.
Maybe about around two months at having returned to the gym I felt a kind of tearing sensation in my lats while deadlifting. It wasn’t painful but prevented me from deadlifting and benching.
It has now been nine months and I still have this sort of tenseness in my lats that I know if I bench or especially deadlift too heavy it will initiate that same tearing/ripping sensation again.
If anyone has experienced anything similar or has any ideas of any approach the issue I would really appreciate it.
