Hey, at least we can fall without our ears popping.

So hereā€™s what Iā€™ll do
Iā€™ll try low bar squatting and try working up at a set of 5 with good form

I will film it too

Add in a slower descent and you have yourself a deal. Sounds good man.

I didnā€™t intend to do a heavy triple
I thought I could do 315x5

@garagerocker13 @T3hPwnisher
Not sure if I descended slow enough

Take out the parentheses for vid

Hey man, sorry was outta town all weekend so just watched the videos. Your descent was good on the 295 and still maybe a little fast on the 315. But overall both looked much better depth-wise. What shoes are you squatting in? Ever try barefoot? I know the pavement can be a little hot or cold but it may help you with stability.

I never tried barefoot before

Oh OK, so theyā€™re lifting shoes (canā€™t tell in the video - looked like typical running shoes) - you can try barefoot but you should be OK with these shoes. Just keep drilling mobility and working on getting comfortable taking weight to depth. Youā€™re strong but you look a little uncomfortable/unstable under heavy weight, so that can be something to focus on. I always remember my buddy telling me ā€œslow is smooth and smooth is fastā€ to keep things in control.

I liked those squats better.

Sitting back rather than down is going to go a long way. You fell forward on the second rep because you were squatting down and forward. With a lower bar position, the weight will counter balance you.

Iā€™d lower the stands 1 or 2 notches personally to allow for a deeper set-up. I like to partially squat the bar out of the rack, rather than barely clear it.

Squat:
205x5 235x5 265x5
5x5 205

Deadlift:
245x5 280x5 315x5
5x5 245

Press:
95x5 110x5 120x5

If anyone was wondering what my goals are.
Itā€™s to be able to

Bench: 275x5
Squat: 355x5
Deadlift: 455x5

(Long term goals)

I think that should put me in the ballpark of
A 315 bench, 405 squat, and 500 lb deadlift. Most likely wonā€™t test a one rm just cause it wastes so much time and is useless info to my next training cycle.

same deal just remove the parentheses. Unless Chris comes to the rescue again.

Squat:
295x5

50 Pendlay Rows With 95 lb barbell

Bench:
145x5 170x5 190x5
5x5 170 lbs

Iā€™m proud of the squats today. Focused on not dive bombing the descent.

@T3hPwnisher @garagerocker13

Pavers came today

Dad said they wonā€™t protect the driveway

I guess Iā€™ll still do them on the grass but Iā€™ll have better platforming

And when the weather becomes garbage Iā€™ll just do em on a concrete walkway

Squat
205x5 235x5 265x5
5x5 205

Deadlift
245x5 280x5 315x5
5x10 245

Press
95x5 110x5 120x5
5x5 95

I am so tired.
Lollllllll deads always make me feel sleepy night night after the training session

Squat
220x5 250x5 280x5
220 5x5

Deadlift
265x5 300x5 335x5
265 5x5

Press
100x5 115x5 130x3

Ok so I actually pressed 120x4 last week. Sadly I keep missing reps on the heaviest weight with press but Iā€™m always able to get the 5x5 on fridays. Ig my tm was too high from the beginning

Everything else was a feather lol.
335x5 is one rep less than my old pr 335x6 that I did with chalk and a belt.

Supposed to be 180 but I didnā€™t have another pair of 10s. This was awesome and 200 felt like a feather. Had more in me for squats too.

Last Friday

Squat
220x5 250x5 280x5
220 5x5

Deadlift
265x5 300x5 335x5
265 5x10

Press
100x5 115x5 130x1.5

Press was hot garbage. Iā€™m gonna assume itā€™s because of fatigue. Just gonna repeat tm.

Today

Squat
200x5 230x5 260x11
I wanted 15 but oh well

Deadlift
235x5 270x5 305x5
235 5x5

Press
Work up to 115x9
135x2 for a joker set

Looks like I was right. It was fatigue from last weak that made my press crap.

Aiming for 305x15+ on deads this Wednesday.
Probably unrealistic lol.

Changed it for you.

Ok so @dagill2 I only got 10 because my hammies felt like they were on fire. I did a easy and casual single at 405.

I meant to do only 2 sets of heavy singles. I guess I could consider 335 a warmup.
