Tax Cuts Worth It?

Found this article interesting since there has been alot of debate here in the past over tax cuts:

and a link to the report mentioned in the article:

If I have to pay less money to the federal gov’t - it’s worth it.

I would much rather see them cut spending than raise taxes.

But I am just a taxpayer, what do I know?

What tax cut?

I did not get a tax cut.

Then you are either a rich sumbitch, or you have a crappy accountant.

The only thing wrong with the tax cuts are that there aren’t enough of them.

It would also be preferable to cut spending along with them, but fat chance getting the gov’t to do that.

Or he didn’t make enough to pay taxes to begin with.

Move to Texas.

that tax cuts increased government revenues…i.e they more than paid for themselves. check your statistics.

I say remove the income tax altogether, and replace with a much simpler, and higher sales tax.

Your taxed on what you spend, not what you earn. Almost every founding father was brutaly against the idea of an income tax, which was put in place to pay for WW1.

(Obviously, I’m making it seem a hell of a lot simpler than it sounds.)

Or you know what? Tax anyone who makes 10-100 mil + a year down to 10-30mil a year. Who the hell needs more than 10-30mil a year anyway?

(Prepares for outcries of “Hippy” and “Communist”)

How about thief?

Besides - there are so few people making that much money, you would generate less than a billion dollars a year by only soaking the super wealthy.

But let’s just tax the evil rich. They do nothing for our economy in the first place. Hell - if you make more than 100K/year you are really making too much as well - lets just have the gov’t take everything we make over 100K.

The majority of high paying Wall Street jobs are in this part of the country.

Our schools are much better here then the rest of the country and NJ is a very nice state. I will move to FL, NV, or AZ when I retire.
