TASTY Protein Bar Recipe

The constant struggle every day to eat nutritious meals that fit each of our goals is something that seems like will never end. With tasty recipes like this, it almost makes you feel like your cheating.

*No these bars are not the healthiest out there but they sure are tasty and are a healthier choice than others.

-2 cups instant oat
-1 cup protein powder
-dash of cinnamon
-1/4 cup dark chocolate
-1/4 cup PB2 (mixed)
-1/4 sweetener (agave, honey, or whatever you want to add)
-1/3 cup dried cranberries
-1/4 cup sliced almonds
-1/4 cup homemade almond milk (you can find a recipe for this anywhere online)
-1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce or make your own apple sauce
-1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

==In a large bowl, add oats & protein powder and mix around.
==In a medium bowl, add all other ingredients and nuke for 1-2 minutes. Stir until mixed well and chocolate is melted…not too hot though!
==Add wet ingredients to the dry and mix the heck out of it.
***NOTE: If you have a big Kitchen Aid Mixer with the paddle on it (see picture below) it makes this process A LOT easier and cuts the mixing time in half. Pricey investment but well worth it I’m telling you.
==Line an 8x8 baking pan with Wax Paper. Spray with Non-Stick Cooking Spray (you will regret it if you don’t).
==Empty bowl of dough in lined baking pan, cover, and refrigerate for an hour or stick it in the freezer. Whatever your preference is.
