T Testing Options

What options are available for finding out your T levels? Is there anything other than going to a doctor and asking for bloodwork? How much does that usually cost?

How old are you? You could just ask him to test for it, and he’ll send you to a lab. If he gives you a hard time… just tell him you’re feeling the symptoms of low T levels.

I dont think you’ll have a problem if you just tell him you’re curious.

Also, I’m pretty sure you can have insurance pay for it since its thru your doctor.

I am 29. The thing is that I have school insurance since I am a graduate student but I am away from school for a few months so I dont have the university doctors around that I am supposed to go to.

Are there any options that dont require seeing a doctor and how much would it cost to get the test done when not payed for by insurance?

I heard there was some kind of saliva test but I am not aware of how to get it and/or how it compares to traditional blood tests.

You could ask your girlfriend. Probably she can tell you if your T level is too low for free.

I saw something on the saliva test the other day, actually. Google ‘hormonal balance’ I think thats what I saw it under. I’m not sure if that’ll be as accurate as a blood test though.

Affordable blood tests for a variety of hormones/enzymes/etc…, including total T and free T, can be ordered by any individual directly through organizations such as the Life Extension Foundation. Go to their website, or do a google search for to compare options.
