T-Dawg diet C/O TC or Chris Shugart

I just received the new magazine in the mail and it is great but I have read the article on the T-Dawg diet and have a question.  Why is the "Mess O Greans" recommended after the post work out meal?  Will the carbohydrates not cause a release in insulin and therefore most of the 27.97 grams of dietary fat be easily stored as bodyfat?
