Switching Too Much?

I’ve got a lot going on in my life right now so I’ve had to pair down my time in the gym. As such I’ve started using the meathead version of WS4SB but I drop the repetition day. I generally play volleyball that day but I may start doing some calesthenics/bodyweight work as a warm up that day.

Anyway I read recently about rotating exercises using this template in a 5rm, 3rm, 1rm rotation. I’ve thought about doing this plus a deload week then I’d start up again with a new set of exercises. So far I’ve got military press, bench press, floor press, incline press for my ME upper and full squat, box squat, front squat, deadlift for my ME lower.

Does this make sense? Or am I switching exercises too often?

5RM first week , then 3RM , and 1RM the last week ?

no , thats not excessice at all . what you mention is quite similar to how I rotate lifts .

Ye, same rotation as mine.

week 1. bench press 5rm
week 2. bench press 3rm
week 3. bench press 1rm

week 4. rack lockouts 5rm
week 5. rack lockouts 3rm
week 6. rack lockouts 1rm

etc…

as a sidenote , I’ve seen it mentioned several times that advanced lifters will cycle lifts for only one week .
