Sweet Sixteen Thread

Geaux Tigers.

That is all.

I LOVE COLLEGE BASKETBALL!!!

One more win for UCLA and my trip to Indy will be magical. The NCAA Tourney never fails on providing exciting finishes. The Duke game, the trading 3-pointers of the Texas game, and the greatest comeback in history in the UCLA game

And beyond that, Gonzaga reconfirming my theory that despite all of the media adulation for them, they just were not nearly as good as they were made out to be. They beat Maryland and Mich. St. in Hawaii at the start of the season and then lost every game thereafter to a ranked team:

Later Zags…

What a pathetic, half hearted display by the Dukies. Only Shelton Williams showed up to play. Redick probably played himself right out of NBA consideration.

I’ll be having some of Kuz’s moms chili for dinner with a side of humble pie.

Oh well. There’s always next year.

I think that you are wrong about that. The coach of LSU admitted that their defensive game plan was to stop Reddick. In the NBA Reddick will not be the star and will not draw the attention he did in college. He will be a role player in the NBA, a valuable 3-point specialist. He is one of the best 3-point shooters to ever come out of college basketball. I think that there are several teams in the NBA that would love to have Reddick right now.

You’re probably right. I don’t think he will be a lottery pick, though. Maybe a Steve Kerr type role player.

Redick is going to be guarded by that exact type of athlete every time he sets foot on an NBA floor. He definitely murdered his draft stock.

UCONN and WASHINGTON game was great. I do have to say as an unbiased college basketball fan that Uconn got a huge gift on that tripping foul call in OT, if you pair that with the no call on the goaltending you have a 4 point swing. The calls were bogus and cost Washington the game.

That being said the officiating sucked overall, I almost couldn’t finish watching because anytime someone drove a foul was called. Anderson was phenomenal for Uconn, that game tying shot with 1.8 left was the sweetest looking shot I have seen since that shot by the kid from Valparaiso.

The whole thing would’ve been avoided if Jensen hadn’t commited that bonehead foul.

I wish I would have taped more games, that LSU v. Texas game was a classic with one of the most exciting finishes I have ever seen.

Oh and yes I shed tears of joy with that UCLA win. I’m looking forward to that Nova v. Gator game

I lost my virginity at 16 XD
