After a week or so of a bad sore throat and fatigue, I got my blood work back and it looks like I have mono and a secondary strep infection. I’m pretty much over the strep, but still am dealing with the fatigue from the mono.
I’m upset to see my gains in the gym go by the wayside … no heavy lifting for another 4 weeks or so. I’ve been walking/jogging for 30 minutes a day when I feel up to it, and have been trying to keep my protein intake up, but honestly it’s been pretty hard.
Are there any supplements I should steer clear of? Anything specific I should be watching out for?
(I’ve just been taking a multi, fish oil, and L-Carnitine pre-workout). I’ve gotten off my ‘cutting’ stack (thermogenic and green tea), because I’m not doing enough to really warrant taking it. Mostly I’m trying to minimize muscle loss.
