Supplementing Alongside TRT

#1

Doc prescibed Androgel just bumped to 3 pumps. Struggling to get to the “low end of normal”. What are my other 45+ year old lifters supplementing with alongside their TRT?

If the gel isn’t working for you, consider injecting.

Are you sure you are primary hypogonadism and not secondary?

inability to absorb trandermal T is a strong indicator/symptom of low thyroid function, your doc would not understand, see last paragraph in this post.

Please post all labs with ranges, there is more going on than T levels, do not do T T-tunnel vision.

Please read the stickies found here: About the T Replacement Category

Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.

Thank you KSman. My TSH# was 1.57 with a range of .40-4.50. My morning body temp over the past 3 weeks has been 96 or 97 degrees.
