Can someone give me the quickee definition of a superset? I just read 15 posts and this is my impression:

  1. It’s a group of 2 or more exercises that hit a specific muscle group to completely exhaust it.

Is this close to correct? (None of the articles formally defined it.)

And, btw, I am interested in this for hypertrophy and am a middle-aged lifter that’s just started on Chad Waterbury’s 3 day a week hypertrophy routine…

You are correct in your assumution.

Pretty much. It is 2 excersizes done in an alternating fashion. once you have coompleted both that is one superset.

Then it goes up from there to three excersizes Giant stes etc.

But yes thats the basic idea. It can often also be antagonist pairs, push pull. Etc…
