Substitute Sprints for all Cardio

Gents,

Is it reasonable to substitute sprints for all other cardio?

Tim

Unfortunately not, while I’m a firm believer in the power of sprints, other lower impact cardio exercises have there place. Although I’m sure you can, it’s probably not wise to do exercise as taxing as sprinting day after day, but you can mix sprinting with jogging, biking, swimming, etc.

Why not try it?

How many times do you do cardio a week? Lets say you do 3 cardio sessions… do one day of shorter sprints, one day of medium sprints, and one day of loonger sprints.

If you’re under 30 I think you could do sprinting three times a week, depending on how much you’re doing. I mean 400m repeats, why not?

What about if you 29 and 3/4?

Then it’s basically all over. You got time for one last Matlock and you die.
