I recently discovered the overhead shrug and wanted to implement them into my training. But there's just no way I can do them without bending my arms and little trap involvement. I hold the barbell fairly wide. I have a litte more succes with dumbbells, but then I place the dumbells next to each other. The rom is still very little.
I noticed that with 'scarecrows' it's a truggle to press straight. Would stretching out the pecs do some good? I do bandpulls, reverse flyes and lot's of rows.
