Strongman Event PRs Page

This is for Strongman Relataed PRs. Not so much for Squatting and Benching but for things you might see in a meet. So OHPs, Deadlifts, Yokes, Stones and the such. You guys get the point. Ill start off…

First Heavy OHP work in about a year.

280 for 1- 25 lbs all time Clean and Press PR.

300 for 1 clean no press.- I missed this because i freaked my self out and never thought Id ever get it to the rack position. 45lbs Clean PR.

Good stuff, Reed. That’s some serious back bend on those cleans. Does this mean you’re moving some focus back to Strongman or is this more of an extracurricular for you?

I’ve just started a Smolov cycle, so I won’t have any PRs for a while. But hopefully I’ll have some big PRs a couple months from now.

I will be competing in June. I started a log with my return to Strongman.

Initially read this title as “Strongman Event PRs Rage”.

Not a bad title anyway

Bummed I couldn’t film this but hit a 320x6 stone PR tonight over 48" bar. Tacky only on hands.

195lbs OHP. 15lb PR. I felt like I should have more in me. But I missed 205 and then I missed 200. I should get 200 soon though. 15lbs is still 15lbs.

I did a 92kg/202 pound strict press this morning at 82.4kg bw preparing for a novice strongman competition in July

Did my first strongman comp yesterday and got a 255 axle clean and press which is a 5lb pr. then pulled 695 from 18" for a 85lb pr which I was pretty damn surprised about!
I’ll post up a couple vids tomorrow

I warn you this is not pretty.

YESSSSSSSSS! One of the sickest presses I have witnessed.

Also, kinda forgot about this thread, but I’m happy Reed bumped it.

Did this last weekend, major PR for how fast I was moving. BW ~225-230

Christ, you look like you’re only 18 years old or some shit. Total brute.

340lb axle overhead@231lbs. Inspired by Reeds recent axle press. Had no plans to come in today as I was sick, but your intensity is contagious lol.

I’m 20 years old, if it makes me seem any more egotistical.

Under 231’s, I was pleased as since last September to comp date I dropped weight from 285 to 230

Tape to hold your plates on the bar=awesome!

I just finished my farmer walk handles and tried out my buckets of concrete. The handles are a little slippery so I only got about 20 ft before my grip gave out. Here is my going 50 feet but using straps. Not a PR at this weight but since the equipment is new it’s a default PR. It works out to about 250lb per hand(a little over). I can see I need to work on foot speed as I get to the end.

Thats some insane strength for a 19 year old! Your pressing what I’m deadlifting!
