Stretch Reflex in a Squat

when doing a max strength workout, when i do a back squat/front squat, should i pause for a second at the bottom or utilize the stretch reflex and go up right away as soon as i hit the bottom portion.Keep in mind i am not in a powerliftin gcompetition, i am a baseball player training for strength and other strength qualities.


really both using the stretch will allow greater loads through the whole rage of motion etc. Pausing will really build that low end and starting power teach you to stay tight fire those hips glutes etc. Try 4 weeks or so of one then xchange it up
