Stretch Marks?

Aaah, yet another one who claims to be the exception to some general rule meant to describe a majority…yet surprise, NO PICTURE IN THE PROFILE.

That’s so cute.

How about you raise your hand after we see what you look like?
How about you lick my sweaty, stretch-mark-free nutsack?

I’m not the one making claims without backing them up. You are.

Wait…how the hell is this possible? Have you seen anyone who lifts weights and got big? Didn’t they have stretch marks?

If you didn’t know this at all then I seriously doubt you will make much progress…
So his lack of awareness about stretch marks is now a hindrance to his progress? LOL!
What a load of crap, Doc. You know as well as anyone else that MANY guys grow and progress in spite of a lack of full knowledge about other bbers cosmetic details.

Running out of pertinent things to argue today?

Dwarf, you are limited by what you observe around you. If you didn’t know that then your own progress has likely been limited by your own observations. No one even thought you could build arms over 19 inches before Leroy Colbert. Do you think that is because no one before that could?

I have stretch marks. If they bug you, use mederma.

Also, look into laser treatment- 3-400$ a session, 3-5 sessions. I had a test site done and it’s improved the appearance decently so far, but she said it could take another 2-4 weeks to see the best progress.

I’m approaching 40-- I’m extremely proud of my brand-fucking-new stretch marks in teh arms.

Seeing or not seeing stretch marks on others has NOTHING to do with what I think my potential for muscle growth is. Would I be so foolish to think that just because every huge dude in the gym was bald, that I’d need to shave my head to be as huge?

My baby is cooler than yours. And, in time she will destroy yours.

What? Who is arguing just to argue now? If you haven’t seen anyone with stretch marks at all, it is highly likely you have not seen many or any big weight lifters. How much progress you even believe you can make is based on what you perceive as possible. How is this new info for you?

Oh yeah? My baby was exposed to mass amounts of Gamma radiation, turns big and green when she gets angry (you wouldn’t like her when she’s angry), and has teh invincibelz (and stretch marks).

It’s not.
As a teen, the last thing I remember seeing (and I can’t recall seeing them on anyone besides Mike Mentzer) on a dozen pros from the 70’s was stretch marks. Boyer Coe, Ed Corney, Greg DeFerro, Robby Robinson, Frank Zane… none of them had stretch marks (at least that I made note of).

Ive noticed a assload of stretch marks around my shoulders and chest aswell. Feels great man. Gonna invest in some cocoa butter though.

Disagree completely. You’ve given a perfect example why people aren’t limited by their observations - you say that people didn’t build 19+ inch arms before Colbert, so Colbert himself has achieved something without observing it before.

Also, one thing I’ve noticed (that others have probably mentioned in the thousand other threads on this subject) is that they look worse the more pale you get. Having spent the last week or two inside at my foggy homeland, my tan is fading and my stretchmarks are looking redder and more pronounced on my paler skin and just generally making me look like a dark side Shepherd or Cole (of Mass Effect and Infamous respectively /nerd reference)

Interesting. So you really believe that the massive number of guys who immediately surpassed that after it was known to be achievable does NOT indicate that once barriers are publicly broken people can pass them in mass numbers due to perception?

Let me guess…you see no significance in poor kids seeing someone from their own background who has become successful?

My baby screeches and will cause yours to go insane. This is after your baby gives her everything imaginable to quiet her.

Prof X. I was referring specifically to the opening statement, “you are limited by what you observe around you” sorry forgot to highlight it. I agree that maybe some people don’t achieve what they could due to ignorance, but not everyone. In this instance I don’t see why not knowing about stretch marks would hinder the OPs progress, that he has got the marks seems to suggest he’s doing OK. Either way don’t think us arguing about it is relevant to him, so agree to disagree?
