Stopping the Pain on Zerchers

I love Zercher Good Mornings from pins, they’re one of my favorite exercise to do. The only problem is that anything over 185 hurts like hell on my forearms; so much that i can’t really push them up in weight due to the pain. I heard of the 2x6 wood trick on them, but i don’t have any planks of wood lying around. I’ve been thinking of a solution and want feedback. My plan is to put a small pillow between the bar and my forearms.

Any problems with this?

I use fat gripz and that helps. I’ve only done normal zerchers squats with 305lbs with em so I can only speak for them being comfortable with that much weight. My arms still get a bit sore for a few days after doing them just like my shoulders get a little sore after front squats. Just gotta deal with it.

i take my squat suit and drape it over my arms

I’ve held 315 in my arms and didn’t complain. Hurt like hell, but didn’t say a word; just lifted the weight. That’s all there is to it.
