Stool Problems (Serious)

Hey everyone!

I have a problem, as the subject shows. I don’t know how to put it, but here I go.
Okay so I’m fairly young guy that enjoys bodybuilding so I know a higher protein consumption is require to build muscle, but I have been having problems and my doctor is telling me its my dairy but I have never had a single problem with dairy so I don’t listen to him. Back to the point, so every time I go to the bathroom I either have one of two things diarrhea or a pasty stool that leaves shit stains all over the toliet bowel. Looks as if I flush down 20lbs of melt chocolate bars. I rarely ever have a solid bowel movement. It doesn’t hurt I just wish it would be hard like normal stool.

Again not joking. Please all comments accepted.

You need fiber. There’s nothing to joke about.

I thought I got enough. Hmm high protein causes this or just a lack of fiber?

Lack of fiber comparable to all of the other shit you eat.

Obviously someone who lifts seriously and is packing the food away will need more fiber than someone sedentary.

Benefiber goes well into shakes with no clumps.

Well, loose stool means your food is going through the digestive too quickly.

that could be a lack of fiber, or it could be a food that you’re sensitive to.

What’s your current eating look like?

Simplest thing would be to add more fiber like mentioned (fruits/veggies) and see what happens after a few days. If no change then look into your food choices and how they effect you.

2 round TBSPs of pysillium husk + 1 tbsp of ground flax seed daily.

Also drink a fuck load of water a minimum of 2L

Things it could be:
Lack of fiber (as noted)
Too much fiber too quickly (you just can’t go from 0-60 grams per day, ramp up)
Sensitivity
Intolerance
Allergy
Irritable bowel syndrome
Lack of healthy gut bacteria
Too much stress

Hard to tell with the information listed:
How long have you been working out?
When did this problem start?
Did cutting out dairy help?
Did you start a new supplement around the same time as the problem?
Did the frequency increase based on your training schedule?
Would you consider your life high stress?

Good post.

Fiber

Probiotics

Digestive enzymes

Look into those. If theres no improvements then look into whether you have a medical condition.

Or, to see if the doctor is correct. Cut out all dairy for a week. See what happens.

Do not do both. Either add the fiber and such OR cut out the dairy. Doing both at the same time will be useless.

Okay so I do eat more vegatables and fruits than I used to. That has help from diarrhea to a pasty stool which I suppose is better. The problem I believe started between 6-9 months. I have no pain.

Here’s my diet.

Breakfast:

Oatmeal 1 cup or Cereal
250ml Milk 2%
Omega fish oils capusles
CLA
Protien shake
Animal pak

Meal 2:

Chicken or Tuna wrap
about 15-30g of protein vegetable included made on whole wheat wrap

Meal 3:

Chicken or Tuna wrap
about 15-30g of protein vegetable included made on whole wheat wrap
CLA

Meal 4:

Chicken or Tuna wrap
about 15-30g of protein vegetable included made on whole wheat wrap

Post-workout

Chicken or Tuna wrap
about 15-30g of protein vegetable included made on whole wheat wrap
Joint pills

Or

Weight Gainer or Protein shake
about 30g of protein

Dinner:

About 30g whatever is cooked I eat.
CLA
Joint pills

Bedtime (9:30pm)

Protein shake.
30g of protein

Thats a average day. Wow I never wrote all that I eat… and I wonder why my shits have horns…

I could try that. Just more chicken I’m going to have to eat then.

Almost everyone has said that the problem is almost certainly a fiber issue. For a reason. Id try that first.

See all those shakes you drink. Add 5g of benefiber to them.

No.

This will make things worse.

I drink about 4L+ per day. Is that too much?

When I say fuck load I mean more than the average person. 2L-4L.

Why would drinking that amount make it worse? You need a decent amount of water to pass a stool.

2L of water is not a lot of water. 4L is not excessive either, unless you’re 50 lbs.

looks like enough fiber.

where is the dairy the doc speaks of?

If you are prone to sweating alot (like me), you will need more water than usual. Also, IMO, not many things crap better than old fashioned oatmeal. I feel like my colon got the squeegee treatment afterwards.

Well, I told him I consume tons of dairy products, so thats why he said “cut dairy out for one week”.

Exactly. But I’m feeling bloated, fat, stomach (I think hurt I push something in my stomach and it hurts abit) and my bladder hurts. I think to much food and too much water.

im having a similar problem as well. my stool is not always pasty or anything but occasionally i get diarrhea. mostly happens when i drink my Surge or i am dehydrated. i would recommend adding in some yogurt to your breakfast and cut out some shakes. I will have to dry out some fiber though because i feels that my food is going to waste if i just piss it out of my ass.
